The Freeride Program includes sports based on creativity, individuality and self-expression. As our Program's name implies, there are no limits or rules governing how one is able to interpret their own experience. Each sport under the Freeride Program's umbrella offers an active way for local youth to express their unique style while having fun. Whether Freeride Program participants measure their progress internally or choose to enter competitions, they share the common goal of creative self-improvement through outdoor activities.

Sidenote about the use of the word "Freeride":
The word "freeride" is added to the Skiing and Mountain Biking titles in order to distinguish these newer genres of each sport from their more structured predecessors. Snowboarding and Skateboarding are two sports whose roots are based around personal expression. Any organized approach to Snowboarding or Skateboarding was developed later on which is why the word "Freeride" is not included in their specific titles.
